Worshipping God in your giving

Filed under: Blessings of God, Finances — admin at 2:54 am on Wednesday, April 29, 2009

If you need God to move for you in your finances, you have to follow His commandments. If you aren’t following His commandments, then you are living under a closed heaven, and He is not obligated to help you.

I have been studying this subject a lot lately, and I decided to share some of the things that I have learned.

Learn to Worship God in your giving. I personally write out a check and hold it in my hands and thank God for everything He has done for me. You may have another way of doing it.

The Israelites brought so much gold, silver, etc. to the temple, Moses had to tell them to stop. See Exodus 35.

2 Corinthians 9:7 KJ

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Follow His commandments so that you can claim the promises of the blessings that only He can give.

Deuteronomy 15:10 “You shall generously give to him, and your heart shall not be grieved when you give to him, because for this thing the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in all your undertakings.

Your money represents you, and your heart. God sees and acknowledges it when you give with the right intentions.

1 Chronicles 29:17 “Since I know, O my God, that You try the heart and delight in uprightness, I, in the integrity of my heart, have willingly offered all these things; so now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here, make their offerings willingly to You.

I have been studying how the Israelites gave offerings to God. They had different feasts and festivals and different offerings that we don’t do today.

Romans 12:8 or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

2 Corinthians 8:12 For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have. (NASB ©1995)

The bible also tells us that man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart. 1 Sam. 16:7.

Priming your pump

Filed under: Blessings of God — admin at 4:25 pm on Monday, April 13, 2009

water-pump

Have you primed your pump today? The old pumps with the long handles that we used to use, you had to lift the handle up and down a bunch of times to get water flowing.

You have to do the same thing symbolically in your spirtual walk with God. How do you do that? I will show you some scriptures on how to release God’s power into your life.

Phil. 4:6 KJV

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Bible in Basic English

Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God.

You prime your spiritual pump by prayer, worship, and praise. You have to let your requests be known unto God. Here are some more scriptures relating to this subject.

Matthew 6:25 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Ephesians 6:18 With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,

1 Timothy 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,

We must learn to prime our pumps in our souls. Put God first in your life. Let Him be the source of your total supply.

Teach yourselves how to truly worship him. I am learning this again myself. I have been studying the sacrifices that the Children of Israel gave to God, and what they represented. They worshiped God through their giving.

Butch the bull dog

Filed under: Blessings of God — admin at 5:59 pm on Friday, April 3, 2009

A friend of mine went to Texas and brought me back a tape of a church service. I wanted to share with you a lady’s testimony that was on that tape.

She said that she and her family were on hard times. They didn’t have any food in the house. She had
been standing on the word of God. Phil. 4:19. But my God shall supply all your needs according to His
Riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.

She had a bull-dog named Butch that she kept outside on a chain. Butch got loose, and went roaming
the neighborhood. He came back home with a bag full of frozen steaks, pork chops, and a few rump
roasts. He sat them on the front porch.

The lady said that she asked all of her neighbors about the meat. She found out that one of her
neighbors had cleaned out their freezer, and told her she could have all of the meat. She just said,
praise God!

There was enough meat from the freezer to feed her family for about a month, because the neighbor
gave her a lot more that Butch the bull-dog didn’t steal. God used Butch the bull-dog to supply her
needs.

What kind of miracles has the Lord given you?

Some things we need to pray about

North Korea is planning on launching a missile which is getting other countries nervous. Click here.

President Obama is at the G-20 Summit. The subject of a global economy has come up. This could lead to us having a one-world economy, could even lead to a one-world government.

Jesus is coming soon. Are you ready to meet him? What about your family?

Do any of you have any prayer requests?

God’s Promises of finances

Filed under: Blessings of God — admin at 5:29 am on Thursday, April 2, 2009

Proverbs 11:25=26  KJV
25. The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself. 26. He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.

So how is your soul today? If you are a giver, the Lord promises to make your soul fat.

Romans 12:1 KJV

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

When you are saved, you become a new creature, and the old things are passed away. There are not that many people who teach about doing away with the fleshly desires.

Galatians 2:20 KJV

I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

The blessings of God are conditional. When you obey the Lord’s commandments and laws, you enter into a covenant with Him.

The bible in basic english says:

I have been put to death on the cross with Christ; still I am living; no longer I, but Christ is living in me; and that life which I now am living in the flesh I am living by faith, the faith of the Son of God, who in love for me, gave himself up for me.

The word repent, means that you turn away from your old life, and walk straight ahead into your new one. When you ask the Lord to forgive you of your sins, He does.

2 Cor. 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

You may look the same, have the same name, but inside you are a different person. A miracle has happened inside of your heart, and your whole life seems different. You just gave your heart to Jesus. If you don’t live the life and follow His commandments, you come out from under His Divine Protection.
